The Thule sidearm and domestique trays are universal fit. On the Facebook Chevy Sonic page a guys has some sidearms on his GM rack. I had to stuff my mtb in Sonic today, needless to say I wasn't too stoked about it. The rack can't get here soon enough.

Hey Guys, this is the facebook dude. I am so happy I figured out how to do this. I attached some pics. I used the GM cross bars (279.00) and the thule side arm (199.99 each). The rack is awesome! THe stock bolts that come with the side fit perfect on the larger GM bar.

Thule Side Arm was purchased through Thule dealer. It is the Side Arm 594XT.

I took the bikes on a 100 mile trip this weekend. They did great at 75mph+. Nice and stable. Good Luck!

Since you have no fairing, how is the wind noise?

Nevermind. I went ahead and purchased the sidearm and fairing this weekend. Got some pics to share too.

I couldn't get the fairing installed correctly. The plastic brackets weren't wide enough to fit on the GM base racks. Back to REI I go.

Nice... I'm in the process of something similar. I'm going to need a roof basket for extended trips that can attach to the GM cross bars. Any suggestions?

Neither Thule or Yakima make a fairing that will fit on the factory bars. I bought the Thule one and had to modify the mounting brackets that came with it to work. It works really well now, and cuts all my wind noise down. couple washers, 1/4" bolts and nuts and a drill and 20 mins and youre all set.

Nice pics! The car looks sharp in white! I don't find the wind noise to be bad? The bike rack works really well with those bars. I will try the faring bracket mod this weekend.

Well the noise is pretty obnoxious if I open the sunroof. The fairing is on now I will have to put the sidearm back to see how it is.

Has anyone hear of a Rhino rack? Rhino Rack USA | Car Roof Racks, Cargo Trays, Ski & Bike Racks I have read some good reviews about them but haven't seen any yet. They are based out of Australia and seem to be the "new kid on the block" I have used Yakima and Thule and have some old Thule accessories that when I called I was told will fit perfectly on the Euro style bars.

the rhino 2500 looks like its a universal fitment. I am comparing it to the OEM rack that I ordered from my local dealer.
Anyone know if the OEM racks can be installed with lock cylinders like the thule/yakima racks?

Rhino rack installed

Just installed my Rhino Rack DA118-DK327 and the Mountain bike carrier RBC035. I promised some pics and here you go. Wth the Rhino, the base's are all the same except the mounting pads for the feet. Other than flipping back and forth between both sets of instructions it was painless. AutoAnything shipped right away and I had within a week with FREE shipping and 15% off.

Rhino Rack

Got mine on. Not the same quality as Yakima and Thule but a lot cheaper, compatible with Thule Euro bar stuff and I like it better than the factory rack. Just needs a faring and it will be complete!

For those with the Rhino Rack. Did you use the MM or inches measurement for "A" The MM is not the same distance as the inches. My drivers side is fine but the passenger for some reason rubs a bit. Also anyone know if their are fairing available for rhino racks?

I noticed there was a difference also but when I went to call Rhino Rack was closed. When I used the inches measurment I got a little rub on my drivers side so i went to the mm measurement and everything sits fine now. I called about the fairing, they are in production and 6 months out, so I went down to my local outfitter and bought a Thule fairing. Gone are the days of just attaching it to your rack. After 4 pages of assembly instructions I lost interest and will try again tonight to install it.

I moved it to the mm measurements and now I have no door rub They Thule will not mount directly. I played around a figured out a way to modify it to fit as it is supposed to. Should be very similar to Ctoohy's mod. I need to pick up 4 more t-nuts (like the ones that come stock in the Thule box) and some nuts to match. I will post pictures after I do it this weekend....
