Thule fairing

Once I moved the middle pieces to position 2 (after much cursing because the little rubber spacer kept coming out) I was able to get the fairing on. It looks good, tomorrow morning will be the test to see if it helps the wind noise.

Yeah... consumers are apparently getting tired of these 40 mpg+ claims from automakers.

It would seem American Honda is getting sued, with a possible full class action lawsuit to follow for claims of 40 mpg on certain models. I just heard about this on the radio last night.

Seems the lady has tried everything, in every possible condition to get that trumpeted 40 mpg highway, and she hasn't been able to get more than 30 mpg... according to her.

Either way, her lawyer is supposedly filing suit and going as far as he can with it.

Even with a hitch installed, at 15k milage I'm in the 40's easily for HWY driving, averaging 36 between highway and city. I have the 6 speed automatic transmission 1.8L.

Just installed my Rhino Rack DA118-DK327 and the Mountain bike carrier RBC035. I promised some pics and here you go. Wth the Rhino, the base's are all the same except the mounting pads for the feet. guys with the Rhino rack and Thule fairing, can you please post where you got your rack and fairing and also what other hardware you needed to make the combination work? I really like this setup and want to do this myself.

I figured this would be a good place to ask.. How did you guys(if you did) take off the two strips of trim that go all the way back on the roof.. I want to take em off for a vinyl project to make it easier then replace em.. Is it possible without breaking all the tabs

I think that Rhino rack looks great. You can choose between two different types of rails and hook any attachment to them. That's the one I am gonna get when it's snowboard season again.

Permanent Roof Rack/Bike Hitch Rack

After trying the Chevrolet Removable Roof Rack, I decided to go a different direction.
I bought and had installed a Permanent Roof Rack by Perrycraft.
It's called the SportQuest and it's rated up to 180lbs. I got the Track Mount, OEM Rack Style Bars.

We went on a 10,000 mile trip across the United States and into Ontario, Canada. Then down to Key West, Florida, across to Southern California, returning home up the I-5 corridor back to Washington State.
My wife and I brought along our niece and our English Bulldog. So we bought the 667ES Excursion Roof Box Cargo Carrier from Thule. It gave us a ton of room and we weren't cramped at all! It was a very enjoyable trip.

I also have a Recumbent Bicycle that I love and got a Hitch Style Bicycle Rack from Hollywood Racks.

The Roof Rack along with the Roof Box looks very nice and with the box mounted, it still fits in the garage!

I saw that product a while back but I was hesitant for a permanent solution that involved drilling into the roof with only sheet metal (no re-enforced mount points).
