Just ordered the mount. Will/ am interested in a tranny mount as well. I know all about solid mount vibrations from my past build. It vibrated like hell but it was necessary since i broke like 2 mounts. One time being on a dyno haha. Anyways like i said above i will purchase a tranny mount when your team decides to make it for us. Even if y'all only decide to make a small batch of these im all over it

1, I make perfect sense. Any other vehicle platform would have the torque mount available first. Other uppers following.
2, are you, as a turbo tech racing spokesperson, honestly stating that there is only ONE upper mount holding the Sonics power train in place? Please enlighten me as to how it is triangulated in place using only 1 upper mount and 1 torque mount.
3, without the mount being available for testing, you cannot actually state that.

I will not upgrade either upper mount. I would upgrade the torque mount.
The lower TORQUE mount, hence the name, controls the primary torque load of the engine. Example of torque mount swap;

After that, you would begin upgrading the upper mounts to quell the rest of the powertrain movement that would lead to correcting any still existing wheel hop.
I have no doubt your engine mount works, but stating it controls engine the primary engine movement is ludicrous.

There are 2 transmission mounts, which you call a torque mount and 1 upper engine mount. Being there are 2 transmission mounts on the one side and the upper engine on one side, the engine side needs more help as it is a 1 mount side. Know your mounts and where they are, before you make claims.
We can state that, as we have done a lower torque mount you call it already... We know what vibs are and that it does not help that much with movement. So we can state this, you cannot.
On other applications you maybe right. Like the focus ST... However even on that, we have an upper mount that Chad on the focus forums is testing... That lower torque mount upgrade still allows for A LOT of unwanted movement.
We are done teaching the young here.

Also, young is kind of odd term to choose as an insult for your online business practice. Insulting your primary market may not be the greatest idea. Its Aveo.. errrr Sonic forum. A cheap econobox. Primary market will be young people or gas misers.

I would still be on the market for a torque mount. But its not critical for our atx.
Also he started it by 'correcting' my first very basic post that showed interest in his product.

I do not think he was talking about physical age but probably mental age and I'm more than sure it was aimed at a single person not the whole forum and it's members at least that's how I read it.

I don't want to get in between this discussion, but I have an answer that could be considered rational from a vendors standpoint.
The upper motor mount is EASY to swap. 10-15 minutes. The trans/torque mount, a bitch to put it gently.
The stock mount is oil filled. Sloppy as a drunk fat chick. I doubt the stock trans/torque mount is oil-filled or as badly designed from the factory as the upper motor mount. (speculation)
A vendor has a better chance of selling the easy to swap upper as opposed to the trans mount, which will appeal more to all out DIY'er enthusiasts........ Initially.
Once the uppers gain popularity, and the performance gains are proven, demand will generate for the other mounts.
Whether you or TTR surface as the victor of this debate is irrelevant to me. The fact that will both want the trans mount is very relevant.

Anyways... Lets get back on topic...
We have tried this already with a poly bushing insert in the factory bracket. It fails and does not work. It would require a custom billet aluminum bracket with a special poly bushing insert to make it work/durable. Price would be $150 range...

We have never made the billet one yet, just a poly filled stock bracket. Worked okay for a week or so. Poly insert design didn't work. We need to still make a billet one. Results will be the same, just more durable.
Let's stop the bickering people. If you are a member and don't like or think there's something wrong with a vendor's product, in a civil manner point out your concerns, then DON'T BUY IT. If you are a vendor and members are questioning, attacking, or otherwise giving you grief, report the posts to us then IGNORE THEM. You can't please everyone. I will not tolerate attacks on vendors who are trying their best to bring products to market and this back and forth nonsense.

Vibs wont change, with what we tested VS what we will release. (will you have more vibs than stock? YES. just like any mount)
Movement reduction amount will be the same also (what we tested VS what we release).
Only difference in what we will "release" is a product that is more durable, where the bushing does not fail.
Basically so far we found you cannot take a stock bracket and pour in a replacement poly bushing, it fails as the inner pin does not hold, mount slides down and rubs on frame.
