I do have smaller hands, so that may explain it. On my other M&P9s (one is sold but waiting on a friend to get a purchase permit, and the other may sell some time this year to another friend) I used the medium grip insert. It made a huge difference in how it shot for me.

Oddly enough, on my Sphinx SDP I shoot it best with the large grip insert installed. Standard CZ 75BD and 75PCR grips are just fine for me though.

I should probably take the Shield out again sometime soon. It has been a few months since I gave it a good work out.

Mine has some serious character now - the Shield that is - courtesy of holster wear. Front edges of the slide (both sides) and spots over by the ejection port where the kydex side of the holster comes in contact. Been carried for a year now. That said, the areas that contact the holster are now worn, so I doubt there's going to be much additional wear past this stage.

My 75PCR is starting to show a little wear, but the SP101 is stainless so wear is a lot less noticeable.

My 1911 has some holster wear, none of my digs seem to wear really. I actually really liked the Springfield XDS. When my wife gets her permit I may give her the p290 and pick up another xds 45. They are cheap, but I actually enjoyed shooting it.

P290 is nice but I get hand cramps with it. Not uncommon for me. A trigger job may be in the future.

G20 with the stuff to convert to .45 from the 10mm will be my first pistol, unless a screaming deal comes along. Want the 10, but will plink with 45 if I'm just messing around

Reload and you can shoot 10mm fairly cheap. I have a G29, but no longer shoot it and it will need to go away eventually. I use my DW RZ10 for 10mm fun.

I had an XDS .45 and couldn't get the damn thing to fire reliably. I don't know if my big lady hands couldn't get a good grip or what?

I have heard a lot of complaints about the XDs having issues, but no personal experience of my own.

They had a recall for going full auto, that's why I sold mine. Mines never misfired and I never had fte or ftf with it but I sold it for safety (recall was over a 6 month wait I heard.)

You really have to be able to shoot, you can't limp wrist it.

STill waiting on a few more parts to get the scooter back together, but I should have all the bits to make my new exhaust.

Going to make a 1.75" "header" and run a 2" muffler. The reason for the 2" muffler is due to not being able to find a Dynomax Super Turbo in 1.75"

I would like to keep what little hearing I have left. Its a half Harley but the muffler mounts under the engine/transmission. It should actually be a little quieter than it was since the guts of the stock muffler rotted out and didnt do much anyways.

Speaking of that. I need to do the KLR tweety mod. It sounds like a tweety at certain revs. All the mod is is basically punching out the baffles. Gotta love homebred klr mods

This is super common with lower end bikes. They do it on the Vstar and ninja 250 as well

Didn't know that. I've not been exposed to many bikes.

Checked a vid on youtube of a guy doing it on his KLR. It sounded (and he stated) that it got rid of most of the tweety noise without increasing loudness or raspyness.

Edit. Called the shop today and recent weather screwed up part delivery schedules and the mechanic wasn't able to make it into work half of the week (ice and snow). So, my bike won't be done until second half of next week.

It's alright, we hit 70's later next week and the weekend is going to be gorgeous. Hopefully I can pick it up Saturday and have a good ride.

I assume you mean steam?

Either your exhaust system was cold, the ambient temps were cold, or you're burning coolant.

It was white smoke I'm in Florida and it was in the 80s, didn't notice any spike in engine temps, I did change the oil a few days ago but never seen that happen after an oil change. Before.

If it wasn't steam white means your running lean. Did u check your afr? Could have been condensation... We get a lot of that here in Florida.
