Thanks, Im going stir crazy not being able to install this yet. But i know June will be here before i know it so once the weather breaks it will fly by to June. Ive been thinking of taking some Chrome Tint to smoke out the chrome peice in the rear so its still chrome but a black chrome. Would Fit my Look more. maybe get all the chrome done like that would be nice. Just taping everything off to do it is the thing lol.

Just thought i would drop a line and say i have a new item for my sonic in the works to go with the Body Kit when i have it installed! Once i know for sure im getting it will repost on here. it will definetly compliment the rear end. At Least i think so...

Chevrolet Sonic Tail Light Chrome Covers

Getting these and then im going to Paint them Black to Cover up most of the Red Plastic of the Sedan Tail Lamps Outer area. So only the Rear Brake/Turn/BackUp areas are showing plus the reflector on the side slightly. Will help the rear end look alot nicer on my black and white theme.

Included a Rendering i did up to show what i plan on doing. cant wait to get them!

Nice man!!! Can't wait to see the car all completed and for another person to give the light covers a shot and I think the black will turn out great.

I will tell you also that before you install the light covers to remove the double sided tape they sent already on it because it won't hold for crap. Best way is to buy an adhesion promoter pen and go around the edges first then put down some real 3M double tape and not that generic garbage they used.

Black Tinted Chrome Trim On Trunk

Took the Chrome Trim on the Trunk and Tinted it Black with some VHT Nightshades to give it a Black Chrome look instead of that bright in your face silver chrome. I usually like chrome but this peice was driving me crazy. So i changed it... Plus it will blend better with my Plan for the rear end. Next step is the Chrome Covers for the tail lights once i get them and tint them black too. Then the next step is in June with the 3D Carbon Body Kit Installed. Will really make that rear end look real nice when all complete. Til Then, Enjoy These Pictures of Step 1 of 3 Changes for this year...

well the tail light covers is not happening now. the person i thought i could get them from backed out on me and said he cant get them for me now. So again, back at square one. So, Im just going to say F it and take the Tail Lights off the car, mask off the areas i want to keep Un-Tinted.

Then Tint the Rest of the lense a Darker Tint only keeping the brake light circle, the turn signal/back-up circle un-tinted and a portion of the reflector on the sides of each assembly. Basically the same look as the covers would have been. just simply Tint the tail lamps to look like they would have. Would be cheaper lol.

Easter Bath, Washed and Waxed!!

An Awsome Day Today weather wise so i took the extra down time being easter and nothing going on to Give The Fallen a Bath and a Good Waxing. Also Pictured is My Brothers Sonic, Star Scream. He Doesnt get into modifying like i do, so its still a plain Stock Sonic. Trying to convince him to at least get a Spoiler and Tint The windows lol...

Quick Update...

Hey everyone!

just wanted to do a quick update on here since i havent been on in a while to add much about my car because, well, there hasnt really been anything to add. I am expecting to and hoping to have the body kit i bought painted and installed either the 1st week or 2nd week of June!

im just working on getting the rest of the funds needed to do the work. Got most of them but im short a hundred or so bucks yet and idk if im going to be able to come up with it in time to be able to do it when i want to. Once i know for sure im doing it i will reupdate and let you all know! opcorn:

Went to the Dealership and got my Oil Changed and Tires rotated and while i was there i talked to the Body Shop Manager and the guy is willing to do the work, Paint & Install the body kit for me, gave him some details and so forth, and he said he would get back with me on a price for it all. So now im just playing the waiting game to hear back from the guy to know what the cost will be. Looking to be able to have it done the week of June 8th as he said thats the earliest he has an opening to do it for me. Cant wait as long as, The Price Is Right! lol. Every time i hear that line i instantly think of the Movie Happy Gilmore!

Well my plans got shot down and flushed down the toilet.... Got quoted $600.00 or more to have the 3d Carbon Body kit Painted, and Installed. Seeing how i dont have that available and wont for who knows how long. I wont be getting the kit painted and installed anytime soon, may not even be this year now :sadbanana:

How much more is that than you were planning? Maybe we "SOF" can collectively sponsor you. It is a one-off kit right? I could put together a Sponsor Fallen Angel thread and maybe $ub$onic can put together a "sponsored by SOF" decal.

I feel like it's ethical. It's not like you asked for help, and it can't hurt SOF as a forum to get publicity from a custom Sonic sporting SOF sponsored decals.

I've been following your build and was dying to see this new project happen. It'd be a shame if a few hundred bucks stood in your way.

Let's talk this through.
